So before the guilt of visiting Grandma overwhelms you, take heart: there is a way to be responsible. Zerofootprint Travel Offsets are an ideal way of balancing out your air travel carbon footprint. Each Travel Offset is equal to one tonne of carbon removed from the atmosphere. Just purchase as many as you need to cover the carbon your flight creates.

Go to the Zerofootprint Calculator. By entering your departure and destination locations under the “Travel” tab you can find out how much carbon your air travel will generate. The calculator is designed to allow you to figure out your emissions for more than one flight, so if you fly a lot you can still come up with one number.

Once you have your carbon number, come back to the store to purchase as many Travel Offsets as you need to cover your trip (remember, each Travel Offset is equal to one tonne).
